Square outlines in a straight line
A band set with a single row of square step-cut stones, laid edge to edge so the row reads as one continuous line rather than as separate stones.
Step cuts have no brilliance to hide behind. There are no facets bouncing light around to mask an inclusion or a tint, which is exactly why a row of them either looks superb or looks wrong — and why matching matters more here than in a pavé band.
Set flush against each other, the stones read as one bar of light across the finger. That is the whole point of the design and it only survives if the row is properly matched.
