Oval solitaire in yellow gold, hidden halo, plain band
An oval brilliant in a yellow gold four-prong head with a concealed collar of diamonds beneath it and an entirely plain band below. Five photographs: face-up, on the hand for scale, in profile, and in its box — because an oval is bought on its outline and a hidden halo can only be judged from the side.
This is the piece we photograph most thoroughly, because it is the piece clients ask the most questions about. The face-up frame tells you the outline and the bow-tie; the hand frame tells you the spread at wearing distance; the profile frame tells you what the bench actually did.
The band is deliberately unset. With a center stone at this scale, pavé on the shank competes rather than supports — and a plain band in yellow gold sits under a wedding ring without lifting it.
Yellow gold under the stone is a decision, not a default: warm metal in the basket pushes a faint warmth up into a white diamond, which is why we would rather show it to you on a hand in daylight than describe the effect in a paragraph.

Why there are no numbers on this page
No grading report is legible in any of the five photographs, so no carat weight, color grade or clarity grade is stated here. The paperwork travels to you in writing on inquiry, usually the same day.
What the five photographs are for
An oval is the shape most often bought badly. Face-up shows the outline and whether there is a visible bow-tie; on the hand shows the spread against a real finger rather than a spotlight; the profile shows the hidden halo, the prong work and how high the ring sits. We would rather over-photograph a piece than have you rely on a description.
About the roses
Two of these frames were shot for a client’s proposal, which is why there are roses in them. The ring is unchanged between frames — only the setting it was photographed on.
Built at a different size
The same architecture works from a modest oval upward, in yellow, white or yellow gold. Because it is quoted stone-first, you see exactly what each step in center weight costs before anything is committed.
